Shoal Creek Dental Care is Hiring a Dental Assistant Near Kansas, MO

We are seeking two dedicated and enthusiastic Dental Assistants to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent patient care and support to our dental professionals. This role involves assisting with chairside procedures, sterilizing equipment, maintaining patient records, and ensuring a smooth workflow within the dental office.

The hours required include Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:30 AM-5:00 PM, with some Wednesday's (7:30 AM-4:00PM) as needed. Includes 1 hr lunch.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by handing them instruments and materials, suctioning, and providing other chairside assistance.
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient procedures by ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are available and organized.
  • Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols.
  • Take dental X-rays
  • Provide post-operative instructions and care to patients as directed by the dentist.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update electronic health records (EHR) as necessary.
  • Schedule patient appointments and assist with administrative tasks as needed.
  • Help educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited dental assistant program preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and procedures.
