Job Overview

Maintains the facility’s environmental cleaning and janitorial needs. Leads custodial team in day-to-day cleaning procedures verifying that the facility is sanitized, cleaned, and looks its best for customers and staff

Main Responsibilities

• Maintains the cleaning/disinfecting for the Facility and other SHL sites.
• Ensure the Facility looks its best and remains safe for visitors and staff.
• Lead and Trains custodial staff and coordinate day to day cleaning operations.
• Confirms that required cleaning records are completed in GMP and non-GMP areas.
• Coordinates custodial assignments and cleaning frequencies.
• Performs quality/cleaning inspections assigned by the manager.
• Maintains required ISO 13485 cleaning standards/ procedures.
• Works as a team player and fills in when shifts are short-staffed.
• Completes cleaning when requested: Duties Include Sanitizing surfaces, dusting/microfiber mopping, dusting horizontal surfaces and high-reach areas, cleaning restrooms, cleaning offices & conference rooms, sweeping & vacuuming, cleaning carpets and floors.
• Stocks supplies in the facility and completes custodial inventories.
• Removes Garbage/waste from the facility.
• Complete odds cleaning jobs in the facility
• Cleans facility equipment.
• Responsible for maintenance of floor care equipment
• Maintain floor care cleaning program and frequencies.
• Reports issues to management and submits works orders in the maintenance system.
• Ability to train and motivate, to achieve success.
• Be productive, and always meet department objectives.
• Assisting Facilities Team in preparing facilities for changing weather conditions
• Support in any Facilities needs/requests ordered by the supervisor and other tasks assigned.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualification

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED
• 2 years of experience as a lead custodian or custodial supervisor
• Experience in a healthcare setting or medical manufacturing plant (preferred)
• Detailed healthcare cleaning experience (preferred)
• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
• Prolonged standing and working in a manufacturing plant setting.
• Work Environment such as outside elements (heat or cold)
