POSITION SUMMARY

The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock and materials. Will be picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders. Will be managing, organizing and retrieving stock. Will control the flow of stock through the warehouse, monitor goods in and out, safely and efficiently move and handle items and keep stock records. Will work under the direct supervision of the Warehouse Manager.

ESSSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides support for the department. In addition to other duties as assigned, will be responsible for receiving, processing, and sending out stock and materials, inventory incoming stock, fill orders on outgoing stock, and keep the warehouse neat and orderly. Will process, package, and ship orders accurately. Will organize stocks and maintain inventory. Will inspect products for defects and damages. Will receive, input, sort, load and unload products and will perform various warehouse activities. Will process, package and ship orders accurately. Will organize stock and maintain inventory.

EXAMPLES OF WORK

• Inspects products for defects and damages.
• Examines incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Organizes warehouse space.
• Receives, tracks and unloads and places incoming inventory items appropriately.
• Checks, verifies and fills customer invoices.
• Contributes ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing procedures.
• Embarks merchandise in delivery trucks using appropriate tools.
• Tag, Labels and stockpiles merchandise according to size, shape, and type.
• Prepares all orders for shipment.
• Records and manages all impaired or damaged merchandise items.
• Operates adequate merchandise management tools (for example, forklift).

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 2 years of experience as a warehouse worker and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experienced and certified as a forklift operator preferred. Experience with inventory and logistics/warehouse data system software programs. Experience using hand tools, power tools, measuring, and work ladders.

CERTIFICATED, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must have to ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license.
