POSITION SUMMARY

The Electrician Apprentice will work as part of a team installing all photovoltaic system components and electrical equipment ensuring successful operation of the complete photovoltaic system working directly with the project manager and a skilled Electrician. Will learn how to use the equipment, read blueprints, and work alongside a construction crew. Will work under the direct supervision of the Field Superintendent.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides support for the department. In addition to other duties as assigned, will identify, analyze, troubleshoot, and assist with repairs of equipment and electrical faults. Will travel out to various public and private spaces to assist the Journeyman and Master Electrician. Will interpret blueprints and schematics, update work logs, client accounts, and handle other administrative duties. Will order replacement parts and equipment as needed. Will complete electrical installations and carry out various maintenance duties. Will collaborate with construction workers, plumbers, and other crew members.

You must have some sort of electrical experience to be considered for this job.

In this job, you will be assisting our electrical lead in all of their daily electrical job duties and be assisting with installing our Solar products.

  • THIS IS A SAFETY-SENSITIVE JOB FOR PURPOSES OF STATE MEDICAL MARIJUANA LAW.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have a clean background and a clean driving record. *Background checks are ran prior to hiring.
  • MUST NOT be afraid of heights.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (50 lbs. or more) in addition to climbing ladders and working in high places.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must provide hand tools (electrical snips, dykes, screwdriver, etc. Power tools will be provided).
  • Must be willing to work in attics and crawl spaces, when necessary.
  • The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 2 years of experience as an Electrician Apprentice and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must have to ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license. Must be able to enter the electrical trade school and be enrolled in a four-year program consisting of 640 hours of classroom instruction and 8,00 hours of on-the-job training.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
