Provides quality support and leadership for all new and existing products and processes in the plant. Coordinates with the proper company personnel to provide timely and accurate answers for the customers. Leads development and refinement of product specific Quality systems to ensure compliance to customer standards. AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY/ SCOPE: - Responsible for ensuring products produced meet the quality standard required to minimize costs and maximize customer satisfaction whilst ensuring that procedures and processes are adhered to.
- Responsible for identifying and raising quality concerns and leading cross-functional teams to work towards resolution to ensure zero impact to the customer
- Work in a team environment to develop and implement best practices that emphasize defect prevention, reduction in variation and waste, and facilitate a culture of continuous improvement
- Manage the customer specific requirements and offer technical support to all levels of the organization
- Manage all quality-related issues within the manufacturing team (e.g.
- internal, supplier, customer and customer warranty)
- Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions
- for product quality issues
- Develop and carry out product and process auditing
- Ensure control plans and associated documentation are implemented
- And effectively and maintained
- Ensure compliance and assist with adherence to the Quality Management
- system (IATF16949)
- Undertake special projects as required
- Assist with development and training of defect awareness, processes and
- Procedures
- Promote the use of customer preferred techniques for continuous
- improvement such as Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), and
- Measurement System Analysis
- Lead quality audits
- Produce written reports and make presentations for Quality related topics
- Lead and/or support groups of technicians and engineers and provide
- guidance to other team members
- Communicate efficiently throughout the shop floor and with other
- departments, customers, suppliers and other service providers
- Comply with the Health, Safety and Environmental Policies
