Summary :

Our vision for this position is to safely produce high quality products by effectively executing manufacturing systems in relation to safety, quality, productivity, cost containment and continuous improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Operate and maintain equipment in the Press area including, but not limited to progressive and transfer presses, hand grinders, measuring devices, fixtures, material handling equipment, etc.
• Monitor quality of products visually and by using measuring tools, gauges and fixtures
• Reading and interpreting job instruction sheets and inspection forms
• Record keeping with respect to quality, productivity and downtime
• Completion of daily log entries
• Effectively execute the principles of lean manufacturing

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and / or Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Minimum 1-3 years related experience in a manufacturing environment.

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
• Minimum 1-3 years experience operating a metal stamping press
