ShiftPixy Staffing is Hiring a Temporary Quality Control Technician Near Portland, OR

Position Description: Job Summary:
Join our dynamic team as a Quality Control Technician, primarily responsible for ensuring the conformity of our finished products. This role is crucial for maintaining the high-quality standards of our food and beverage products through diligent quality checks, compliance adherence, and sanitation protocols. Located in a fast-paced environment, this position is perfect for someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for upholding safety and quality in the food and beverage industry.
Contract through July 2024
Key Responsibilities:
  • Quality Assurance Testing: Perform assigned QA testing, source testing, and sanitation checks in compliance with local, state, federal, and company policies and procedures.
  • Inspections: Conduct inspections of processes, products, raw materials, and supplies to monitor quality assurance parameters and ensure GMP compliance.
  • Sanitation: Ensure the sanitation of equipment and production areas according to regulatory standards.
  • QA Support: Maintain the testing schedule and provide QA support for manufacturing operations, including detailed communication of any results outside of standards or specifications.
  • Verification: Verify the accuracy of work, including QA line checks and load in/load out accuracy, and ensure regular calibration of equipment such as pumps and thermometers.
Required Qualifications:
  • Education: BA/BS Degree desired or equivalent industry work experience; food and beverage industry experience preferred.
  • Experience: Laboratory testing skills; working knowledge of water processing, chemistry, microbiology, fluid metering, and monitoring devices.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and analytical skills, basic mathematical and accounting skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites and Products.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift product and equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Other: Focus on safe work practices and high quality while executing duties under minimal supervision. Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
