Shiftfillers is Hiring an Inventory Coordinator -168586 Near Rochester, NY

Our key client is growing like crazy, and we are adding to their team. You will join a dedicated team that produces blood testing diagnostic equipment. You will be collaborating with various stakeholders, suppliers, and stockroom personnel to ensure seamless coordination of materials for capital projects. LOCATION: Rochester, NY

SHIFT: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm

PAY: $24/hour

Responsibilities:

Here are just some of the things you will get to do with us:

  • Generate and manage purchase orders (POs) for materials required for capital projects.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of project materials.
  • Inventory Management and Stockroom Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the stockroom to manage and control inventory levels for capital project materials.
  • Monitor stock levels, initiate reorder requests, and coordinate restocking activities.
  • Collaborate with stockroom personnel to ensure accurate tracking of project-related materials
  • Oversee the receiving process to verify the quantity and quality of incoming project materials.
  • Collaborate with quality control to inspect and approve materials for use in capital projects.
  • Address and resolve discrepancies or issues with received materials.
  • Organize and maintain an efficient storage system for capital project materials.
  • Implement effective storage practices to optimize space utilization in coordination with the stockroom.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in storage areas.
  • Coordinate the shipment of materials to support capital projects.
  • Collaborate with logistics partners to arrange transportation and delivery schedules.
  • Generate shipping documentation and ensure compliance with export/import regulations.

**Manufacturing experience preferred—good attitude, reliability, and ability to train and retain knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Proven experience in materials coordination, procurement, or a related field, with a focus on capital projects.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in using inventory management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of supply chain best practices, particularly in the context of capital projects.
