Driver at BAM Rents:

The Driver works as a member of a diverse crew in all types of weather conditions and in all types of environmental conditions while loading, unloading and delivering rental equipment. Drivers should have working knowledge of construction equipment and preparing and maintaining maintenance records.

Role Expectations and Competencies:

• Transport, deliver, and pick up of rental equipment
• Greet and assist customers with loading and unloading of rental equipment
• Prep equipment prior to loading as needed
• Accuracy check on delivered items to assure customer satisfaction
• Ability to effectively communicate through verbal communication
• Complete safety inspection vehicles on a daily basis
• Keep work vehicles clean
• Notify Supervisor of any mechanical difficulties on company vehicles
• Checking in of returned equipment after cleaning and re-fueling
• Completion of Rental Inspection Forms and equipment tagging as necessary
• Reporting of damaged equipment to Supervisor
• Perform minor repairs to equipment
• Accurate record keeping of maintenance and repairs on equipment
• Securing and inspecting of loaded equipment for safety
• Working knowledge of rental inventory for customer education if needed
• Communicate with Dispatcher/Store if time line changes so customer can be notified
• Inform Supervisor of difficulties with deliveries or pick ups

Experience and Qualifications:

• Class A CDL
• Working knowledge of construction equipment (scissor lifts, boom lifts, etc)
