The Intern reports directly to their designated supervisor. The internship will provide an opportunity for students to have a hands-on learning experience in the construction industry and gain insight into the construction process. Student will assist team in all aspects of the construction process from onsite supervision, estimating, scheduling, safety and quality control, contract and budget management, etc. Additional responsibilities include:

• Assist individuals in various departments with a variety of tasks.
• Learn organizational skills by assisting with document management.
• Work with teams to set up and document meetings relating to projects.
• Network with people in the industry and gain valuable insight experiencing teamwork and collaboration.
• Work as a team player by helping fellow employees as needed and take on new or different responsibilities.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a construction related degree and/or business related degree
• Eagerness to learn and positive attitude
• Strong work ethic. Highly motivated and willing to do what it takes to get the job done right
• Good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies
• Ability to follow direction and manage specific tasks to completion
• Proven ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal communication
• Ability to learn new technologies and concepts
• Willing to work a variety of tasks alone or as part of a team
• Computer based knowledge Word, Excel and project management systems such as Viewpoint or Expedition a plus
• Open to periodic travel
