Job SummaryThe Proposal Specialist will work with the Proposal Team, SHI Salesforce, and Management in responding to formal requests for proposals.

The Proposal Specialist will be assigned to customer proposals that require additional customization and interdepartmental input.

This role reports to the Manager of Proposals.

ResponsibilitiesInclude, but are not limited to :

Participate in all aspects of the proposal development process from pre-solicitation through final response

Maintain bid load while adhering to responsiveness Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for a complete response that meets all deadlines

Collaborate with the SHI Salesforce, Proposal team and applicable internal departments to request, develop, and maintain bid responses

Coordination and review / edit of proposal input from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from sales, marketing, product teams, finance, etc.

Preparation of responses and distribution to Customer and applicable internal SHI department / team member(s) within customer-defined timeframes

Assist Management in the development of collateral materials

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (degree in English or Communication a plus)

Experience in Project Management

Minimum 1 years experience in a proposal environment

Experience with Microsoft Word including Track Changes

Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat

Required Skills

Ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines

Detail-oriented with excellent English-speaking / communication, strong interpersonal, computer, and organizational skills.

Strong time management / prioritization skills

Ability to plan, produce, and deliver compliant proposals within a complex business environment

Ability to handle quick turnarounds and tight timelines and produce a quality product

Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment

Ability to simultaneously coordinate and manage multiple project timelines

Preferred Skills / Qualifications :

Working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint

Working knowledge of RFPio or a similar proposal management software program (Qvidian, Loopio, etc)

Familiarity with IT / Technology Products and Solutions

Strong writing skills

Additional Information

The estimated annual pay range for this position is $45,000 - $85,000. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
