JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Sherwin-Williams Floorcovering Management & Sales Training Program is an accelerated, entry-level position designed to prepare you for a Floorcovering Facility Management or Sales Representative role in 18-24 months. With Sherwin-Williams’ promote-from-within philosophy, you will have the opportunity to progress into a Floorcovering Facility Operations Manager or Field Tech position upon successfully completing the initial 8-to-12-week training. With a national footprint, Sherwin Williams Floorcovering serves professional clients in all major markets throughout the United States. This provides you with career flexibility and consistent growth opportunities.
During the program, you will partner with facility leadership, sales, and regional management to oversee a multi-million-dollar business, providing leadership and insight into the development and strategy of that facility. Throughout the program, you will gain knowledge in facility operations, core products, installation techniques, customer service, and client development, allowing you to understand the significant part you’ll play in the team’s success. You will assist in growing the company’s market share by partnering with and selling floorcovering materials to commercial consumers, such as large property management companies, builders, and renovation contractors. You will gain insight into the organizational structures of customers operating in key market segments and become experienced at interacting with individuals responsible for procurement, community management, project management, maintenance, and property development.

OUR MUST HAVES:
Basic Qualifications:

• Be 18 years of age or older.
• Possess a valid Driver’s License.
• Be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status, now or in the future.
• Possess a bachelor’s degree or are currently enrolled and within two semesters of graduating.

Other Qualifications:
• Be willing and able to work all scheduled hours. (Typical Business Hours are from 7 am – 5 pm Monday through Friday, occasional Saturday and evening work may be required on a seasonal basis). 
• Must be able to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. for short distances. 
• Must be able to operate material handling equipment safely once trained.
• Must be able to distinguish the difference between colors, a skill required to identify and coordinate flooring products. 
• Willingness to relocate for this role as well as future roles.
EXTRAS TO HELP YOU STAND OUT:
• Prior work experience in sales, leadership, or customer service.
• Ability to speak more than one language fluently; Spanish preferred. 
• Extracurricular experiences (such as team sports, school newspaper, etc..).
• Military experience
