Opportunity Time Frame:
For school-based services, interns work hours that correspond to school hours which can range from 7am-4:30pm depending on primary or secondary placement. Occasionally, evening hours are held to accommodate family sessions. Internship time frame predominately runs from September through April but can include summertime internship/extended internship. Hours per week depends on the school requirement for field placement.

Learning Model:
Supervision is provided in a 1:1 supervision model by a Licensed Certified Social Worker, Clinical once a week. In addition, task supervision will be provided at offsite placements by a licensed masters level social worker or counselor who is on-site daily. Both group supervision as well as training opportunities are also provided on a bi-monthly basis.
Student Expectations:
Student expectations include self-directed learning; independently seeking learning opportunities and feedback, flexible thinking and adaptability. Readiness to learn from all experiences. Patience and compassion when working with this challenging patient population.
