Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel Nurse Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Explains procedures and treatments to residents to gain cooperation, understanding, and allay apprehension.
- Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of resident.
- Communicates with family members regarding the progress of the resident.
- Charts all required and necessary information regarding the residents.
- Required to observe and direct the nurse aide staff and assist in orientation of new staff.
- Observes resident, records significant conditions and reactions to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.
- Takes temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of resident.
- Responds to life saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol.
- Initiates a resident education plan according to the individualized needs of the resident, as prescribed by facility policy including resident and family instruction.
- Travel to various SOV locations to fill in gaps when there is a staffing shortage.
- Ability to work in AL or Skilled Nursing.
- Participates in department or unit quality improvement activities.
- *Maintains the confidentiality of all residents, staff and organization information.
Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel Nurse Supervisory Responsibilities
- Directly supervises staff members in the Nursing Department and may be responsible for nursing care in a particular unit.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
Must have a minimum of 1 year experience in a Long Term Care environment.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must be a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
