Based in Addison, Texas, Shear Drive Group, LLC is the largest Floyd’s 99 Barbershop franchisee, operating 25 locations across three states with plans for additional expansion. With a strong commitment to customer satisfaction, we have grown rapidly over the past several years and are now seeking a highly skilled Controller to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with proven experience in managing the financial performance of a multi-site retail business, and will be proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies.
• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard the company's assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate and lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with other members of the management team to develop financial plans and targets.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget and forecast, providing insights and recommendations to improve profitability.
• Analyze expansion opportunities (i.e., the opening of new locations).
• Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure timely completion of audits and tax filings.
• Communicate appropriate financial information to all stakeholders, including the board of directors, lenders, and insurance carriers.
• Provide financial leadership and support to senior management, assisting with strategic decision-making and business planning.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, identifying opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
• 10 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a multi-site retail environment.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
