Shawnee State University is Hiring a Full Time Instructor Near Portsmouth, OH

Job Description Summary

The Department of English & Humanities at Shawnee State University invites applicants for a Full-Time Instructor faculty position in English, with a start date of August 2024. Primary teaching duties will include Introduction to Academic Literacies, Discourse & Composition, Composition & Argumentation, and other courses as needed. Other duties include institutional and departmental service.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A master’s degree in composition, rhetoric, or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least three years’ experience teaching composition at the college level and training and/or experience teaching underprepared writers
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
