Job Summary

The E-commerce Counter Sales Associate is responsible for daily sales on our company’s website and marketplaces like Amazon, eBay, Walmart, etc. and fulfillment responsibility for the E-commerce Division, T/S Pool Supply within Shasta Industries. The key function will be to drive sales on our websites, marketplaces, local retail, and trade sales. Additional functions are to analyze details of the business and distill a clear plan of action out of complex issues around direct to consumer shipping model, customer experience, operational compliance, and in-person fulfillment. This role is primarily responsible for sales and customer service and all e-commerce sales activities. Additionally, this position will be responsible for retaining long-term customer/vendor relationships. Having strong digital marketing skills are a plus in identifying new market opportunities.

This position regularly coordinates with the E-Commerce Supervisor in planning promotional offers and product updates. The eCommerce Sales Associate provides recommendations to customers based on their individual needs as well as relay important company and industry information to drive sales. Consistently meet the company's performance standards and goals as defined by the E-commerce manager.

This position must navigate across multiple resources and tools to provide accurate and current information for industry trends. Must be technology friendly with prior experience using Microsoft Outlook and eCommerce platforms such as, Amazon, eBay, and Shopify, etc.


Duties/Responsibilities

  • Manage the relationship with eCommerce clients, maximize customer market penetration while providing high level of services that meet the Shasta standards.
  • Respond to online and phone lead inquiries within 2 business hours as needed.
  • Actively participate in our website(s) and marketplaces and direct ship customer with Amazon Seller Central and other E-commerce retailers, ensuring accurate product listings, pricing, and inventory levels.
  • Drive the sales performance of the e-commerce platforms through implementing new initiatives and strategies.
  • Determine through market research and set product prices per current industry trends.
  • Monitor and analyze website traffic and sales data to identify trends and opportunities for sales improvement.
  • Correspond with online customers via electronic mail, telephone, or other electronic messaging to address questions or complaints about products, policies, or shipping methods.
  • Ensure good customer service by addressing and ensuring the timely resolution of customer issues or comments.
  • Help cusotmers at designated will-call locations to ensure accurate transactions.
  • Responsible for the daily sales on our marketplaces and ensuring fulfillment of orders within a specified timeframe.
  • Calculate purchase subtotals, taxes, and shipping costs for submission to customers.
  • Handle incoming customer inquiries via in-person, phone, email or chat promptly.
  • Qualify incoming leads based on company requirements and needs.
  • Provide consistent follow-up with home shoppers via outbound phone calls and emails with the goal of setting virtual and in-person appointments.
  • Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service.
  • Utilize homeowners permit records to target demographic base in building a new pool.
  • Exceed customers’ needs to ensure business growth, customer satisfaction while achieving the goals set by the manager and for the department.
  • Assist customers at the counter, via phone and email sales for retail, contractor, and wholesale customers.
  • Assist E-commerce entering sales orders, outgoing orders and data order entry into systems and platforms.
  • Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practices.
  • Handle customer and merchant’s complaints to ensure effective closure of complaints within the set TAT to maintain customer satisfaction and ensure high standard service provision.
  • Outbound email contacting existing and potential customers.
  • Drives sales through the engagement of customers, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge.
  • Manage projects to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and provide timely follow-up to customers. Maintain accurate records related to sales.
  • Work effectively with others in a team environment to identify and resolve problems.
  • Attend and participate in trade shows, annual company meetings, and conference calls as required.
  • Ensure that customers receive efficient and expedient service and perform all front counter and online transaction purchasing procedures according to our guidelines.
  • Help warehouse with sales order fulfillment as needed.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by manager.


Required Experience/Qualifications

  • 2 years selling, and managing products or services in Swimming Pool Stores or Distributors, or on Ecommerce platforms: Amazon, eBay, Walmart, and Shopify.
  • 2 years of experience working within a high-volume sales-channel focused operations support team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook
  • Swimming pool/construction retail or wholesale experience- Essential

Schedule

Location: Shasta Phoenix Corporate - 3750 W Indian School Rd Phoenix AZ 85019

Hours: Monday through Friday; in office, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.

Occasional Saturdays as needed.
