Sharrow Lifting Products is Hiring a Regional Sales Manager Near Rochester, MN

Job Title: Regional Sales Manager - Southern Minnesota

Location(s): Remote (1 day/week) & On-the-Road (4 days/week)

Schedule: Flexible (Monday through Friday – Core Business Hours)

Salary: Base is $50,000-$75,000 DOE; plus, Commission by meeting sales targets

Sharrow Lifting Products has an immediate opening for a Regional Sales Manager in the southern region of MN. This position reports to our Sales Leader in the Twin Cities. Compensation is a base salary with commission plan without a cap, a company vehicle and paid expenses.

We're looking for a person interested in driving demand for rigging, crane wire rope, cranes & hoists, fall protection, and other technical solutions to "non-mining" customers in construction, manufacturing, utilities, and a wide variety of industries. If you're interested apply today.

What does a typical day look like?

  • Managing sales at existing accounts and prospecting for new business in the southern Minnesota territory
  • Prospecting for new customers
  • Effectively conducting sales presentations and product demonstrations to customers
  • Increasing revenue at existing relationships by selling rigging, lifting products, cranes and hoists, fall protection, inspection and repair, load securement, hydraulics and other related products and services.
  • Generating top line sales
  • Ensuring profitable margins
  • Cultivating strategic relationships throughout customer’s organization
  • Demonstrating value propositions that benefit the customer’s business
  • Working with vendors/suppliers to increase their market share
  • Developing our presence with existing and new product and service offerings with customers.
  • Real-time assessment of our business position in the territory (i.e., SWOT analysis, market share, customer input, competition, etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned

What makes this job right for you?

  • Must be self-motivated, organized, digitally competent, and interested in earning income based on commission. Overnight travel required.
  • Earned an associate degree and/or equivalent work experience
  • 3 years sales experience (preferred)
  • 1 year of industrial sales experience (preferred)
  • Industry experience is preferred (rigging, cranes, fall protection, manufacturing, railroad, construction, utilities, mining, distribution, etc.)
  • Mechanical /engineering/problem solving aptitude and experience.
  • Becoming a Qualified Rigging Inspector
  • Technical knowledge and ability to learn and demonstrate complex products
  • Ability to describe how to integrate products in customer applications
  • Strong relationship building and negotiating skills
  • Broad understanding of various industries and company types
  • Proven ability to prospect and seek out new customer opportunities
  • Clean motor vehicle record and valid driver’s license
