Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts is Hiring a TECHNICAL OVERHIRE Near Brookfield, WI

Technical Overhire (part-time)

Reports to: Technical Director

We are currently seeking part-time technical overhire staff to provide back-stage support for our diverse array

of world-class performances, educational programs, classes, festivals, and special events.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Assist with performance and event load-in and load-out
  • Assist with performance and event setup

o Deck hand
o Electrician / light hang / light board configuration
o Audio assistant / technician / engineer
o Fly operator / loader

  • Assist with running shows and events
o Audio / video system technician / engineer
o Lighting technician, follow-spot operator
o Fly operator
o Stage management
  • Facilitate and participate in room set-ups and strikes (tables / chairs / linens / technical equipment)
  • Maintain (clean / organize / repair) backstage areas and equipment
  • Assist with maintenance of building such as painting, changing light bulbs, etc.

Education / Experience, and Requirements:

  • Varying experience levels welcome, including high school and college students with a love for the
technical/backstage aspects of theatre and the performing arts
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge in any of the following: theatrical lighting, rigging technology, digital / analog audio and video
operation, wardrobe, stage management, and related areas
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
