We are currently seeking a Corporate Accountant who will be instrumental in managing our daily accounting tasks. In return, the role will offer substantial opportunities for professional growth and career advancement. Essential Job Responsibilities:Process shareholder distributions for BBNC and village corporations, estate settlements, and reissues.Assist the Shareholder Services Department with addressing shareholder payment inquiries.Supports year-end tax compliance for shareholder distributions, including 1099 preparation and filing.Manage daily cash processing, including recording bank account activity, monitoring balances, and addressing bank’s exceptions.Assist with month-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and other month-end close activities.Manage intercompany processes that include billing, settlement of balances, and reconciliation.Provide secondary support to the accounts payable function.Manage vendor records.Assist with annual financial statement audits.Develop an expert-level understanding of data systems, including Deltek Costpoint and Shareholder Records Management System, to assist with data reporting and analysis.Assist with the implementation of the new system intended for use by both the Accounting and Shareholder departments.Provide support and backup to the Corporate Accounting Manager.Additional responsibilities may be assigned to this role as necessitated. Essential Skills:Basic knowledge of GAAP.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Meet the expectations of internal and external customers.Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.Excellent organizational and time management abilities.Understand the need to maintain strict confidentiality.Strong integrity, dependability, and dedication to professionalism.Demonstrate desire and aptitude to learn new technologies and practices.Strong collaborative skills and ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.3 years of progressive accounting experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel. Physical DemandsFrequent sitting and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
