Sustainability Consultant

Sustainability Consultants work with manufacturers to learn more about their sustainability targets and build solutions to help with environmental goals. The primary focus will be on new business development and expanding into active client sites. This role is for someone with a B4B (business for business) mindset. Our ideal candidate is someone with high EQ, executive presence, an entrepreneurial mindset, and business acumen that aligns with our core behaviors of fixing the hard stuff, forward-thinking, and selflessly pitching in.

What You’ll Do at Shapiro

• Lead internal and external strategies that create environmental impact through partnerships with our clients
• Build and expand the portfolio of services to our clients to help them achieve their environmental goals
• Build, maintain and consistently follow up on a pipeline of targeted businesses that align with our purpose
• Document progress and strategy through the Microsoft Dynamics CRM platform
• Travel to manufacturing sites and corporate offices depending on need
• Work with operations and project management in transitioning new programs
• Using storytelling to define and clarify the client’s vision

Need to Have

• Bachelor’s degree or certificate in a related field
• 5 years of consulting and/or business or financial background
• Desire to continuously learn and develop new skills
• High level of emotional intelligence
• Executive presence
• Experience with C-Suite relationships
