Position Overview: Shalom House is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. The Maintenance Supervisor will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of our housing facilities. This position requires a compassionate and proactive individual who is committed to maintaining a high standard of living for our residents.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations of Shalom House properties.
• Coordinate and prioritize maintenance tasks, repairs, and projects to ensure timely completion.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry work.
• Supervise maintenance staff and external contractors, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory, and equipment maintenance schedules.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
• Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies, including after-hours calls as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments to support the overall mission and goals of Shalom House.
• Excellent problem solving skills

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or vocational training preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance, facilities management, or a related field.
• Previous experience working in a residential or supportive housing setting is highly desirable.
• Strong technical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with residents, staff, and contractors.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
