Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)

• Shady Grove Children's Surgery Center (SGCSC) is seeking a Registered Nurse with dental experience to join our team in. The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled and compassionate nurse with a strong dental background and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with pre-operative preparations, including patient assessment, medication administration, and education
• Monitor patients during procedures, including vital signs, sedation, and pain management
• Assist with post-operative care, including pain management, wound care, and discharge planning
• Communicate with patients and families to provide education and support throughout the surgical process
• Collaborate with other members of the clinical team to ensure seamless coordination of patient care
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient care and outcomes
• Participate in quality improvement activities to promote excellence in patient care

Qualifications:

• Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric dentistry or PACU, PICU, ICU
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards related to dental surgery
• Experience with electronic medical records and other clinical technologies
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
