Primary Job Responsibilities

• Creating the tailored training material based on the customer needs and then creating a training session agenda and finally leading the training sessions
• Conducting training retrospectives with the Neptune system support team to determine what improvements can be done in the training sector
• When not performing training sessions, you will be responsible for improving the training material, identifying gaps in training content, and updating training content based on the software changes

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen
• Must have or be able to obtain a Top Secret security clearance
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or other relevant Engineering field from an accredited university or equivalent combination of formal education and experience
• Familiar with basic computer scripting languages (examples: shell scripting, python)
• Experience in breaking down the functionality of a software system to create training material
• Experience with creating training material for a software system
• Familiar with Unix/Linux environments, specifically Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
• Comfortable building preconfigured C/Java applications using tools like Make or Maven
• Experience conducting training sessions with a customer-base

• Demonstrated history of teamwork and service skills
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing, to supported staff, management, and government customers.
• Understanding of all layers of software engineering and system architecture.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• Satellite Ground Systems, Ground System Operations, or Satellite Operations
• Writing scripts (examples: shell scripting, python, PERL, etc.)
• Software configuration management tools (examples: git, BitBucket, Jira, etc.)
