SGS LLC is Hiring a Remote Inside sales representative

Job Description

We are looking for an Inside Sales Representative to join our Sales Operations team in Milpitas, CA ! The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for developing new leads, communicating with customers to understand their needs and provide SGS solutions.

This role is responsible for building instant rapport with customers over the phone. The Inside Sales Representative is expected to be knowledgeable about all SGS service offerings on a technical level to deliver expert customer service, providing support to customers, outside sales, and the Client Services team.

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for managing leads, generating bids, and preparing quotes in accordance with SGS standards.

Job functions :

  • Develops and manages sales and marketing material and documentation
  • Becomes knowledgeable of SGS services offerings
  • Communicates SGS features, benefits, and services to customers using excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Serves as a resource to provide the most current technical information and guidance on test methods, laboratory requirements, and regulations
  • Generate quotes and proposals that are accurate and branded according to SGS standards
  • Liaises between our customers, outside sales, and the Client Services team
  • Reviews and coordinates the development and implementation of client Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPPs)
  • Upon winning quote communicates project specifics to the Client Service and Sales team
  • Bid follow up to determine the outcome
  • Lead generation through bid notification service
  • Conducts discovery sessions with both qualified and unqualified leads
  • Builds instant rapport with clients over the phone
  • Practices active listening to understand and identify client needs and determine potential opportunities
  • Answers client questions over the phone and provides supporting documentation via email
  • Maintains lead and client inquiry database, as well as CRM
  • Assesses client needs against capabilities of SGS
  • Distributes qualified leads to the Client Service and Sales team
  • Provides proposal and opportunity intelligence to the Business Development Manager and Operations Manager
  • Represents SGS professionally and ethically in the marketplace
  • Continually develops personal selling skills, acquires industry knowledge, broadens expertise in environmental service offerings, and applies them
  • Develops a network of industry contacts with subcontractors and vendors
  • Complies with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct at all times

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; Chemistry, Biology, Environmental science (Required)
  • 2 years in technical sales, project management, or customer service experience (Required)
  • 2 years’ experience in the Environmental Industry (Preferred)
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills to build strong customer relationships as well as work effectively and collaborate internally (Required)
  • Strong leadership, self-initiative, resource utilization (Required)
  • Solid critical thinking skills to anticipate and solve problems in a systematic manner (Required)
  • Language Skills : Advanced (Required)
  • Mathematical Skills : Advanced (Required)
  • Reasoning Skills / Abilities : Advanced (Required)
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers or employees of the organization (Required)

Work Hours

  • Business hours are Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm
  • Work requires the willingness to work a flexible schedule
  • Longer hours, evenings, and / or weekend work will be necessary occasionally as job duties demand

This position pays a $50,000 - $55,000 base (dependent on experience) and is eligible for commission upwards of 25% of base salary .

This is a salaried position that is not eligible for overtime pay.

In addition, your compensation package includes the following benefits :

  • Participation in the Company’s benefit programs coincident or following the first of the month in which you are hired.
  • Immediate eligibility to participate in the Company’s 401K Retirement Plan
