SGMC is Hiring an INFORMATION DESK CLERK Near Valdosta, GA
- Assist visitors, patients, physicians, and hospital staff with information regarding patients and other directional information.
- Informs visitors of visiting regulations; coordinates with Security as needed.
- Responsible for training new Information Desk personnel and volunteers.
- Assists with management of the main lobby; appearance, cleanliness, visitor/patient issues, etc. Seeks assistance from Security as needed.
- KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- High school diploma preferred
- Prefer three to five years experience working with the public in a customer service capacity.
- Needs the ability to supervise people, staff, and manage clerical work in high traffic and stressful situations
- Requires strong communication skills and good telephone skills
- Must demonstrate the ability to utilize technology and Microsoft Word and Outlook
