Position Overview:
The Patient Service Technician uses service and educational skills to ensure safe delivery, setup and use of equipment and maintains the quality provider image for SG Homecare in the community.

Essential Job Functions:

• Delivers and sets up required equipment in the customer’s residence or healthcare facility
• Educate customers in proper use and care of respiratory and durable medical equipment in home setting.
• Complies with all applicable company policies and procedures.
• Develops and maintains working knowledge of:
• Current HME products and services offered by SG Homecare
• All applicable governmental regulations

• Manages his/her territory to reach service goals and delivery of equipment and oxygen, as required, in accordance with industry standards and applicable governmental regulations including US Dept of Transportation (DOT) and US Food and Drug Admin (FDA) guidelines.
• Completes written patient visit reports, following setup and follow-up visits, as required.
• Assists in resolving customer equipment problems under emergency conditions.
• Processes all orders in a timely, accurate manner.
• Promotes services and products to referral sources in the community, as appropriate.
• Develops technical knowledge, as appropriate, of the HME or respiratory products and services provided by SG Homecare.
• Assists with implementation of quality improvement to meet company, state, federal and JCAHO standards.
• Maintains home oxygen systems through regularly scheduled visits to customers
• Assumes all on-call responsibilities during non-business hours, in accordance with company policy for same.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance and simple repairs on equipment, as required in accordance with SG Homecare policies.
• Reports equipment hazards and/or product incidents as required in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• May be required to clean, disinfect and assist with equipment repairs
• Ensures all serialized equipment is properly delivered and tracked for inventory control purposes
• Other duties as assigned

• Minimum Qualification:
• Possesses high school diploma or equivalent
• Must possess good driving record.
• Able to lift up to 160lbs and carry objects for distances to 350ft
• Previous experience or successful completion of factory training seminar for home medical equipment preferred.
