SFMS is Hiring a Construction Estimator Near Gaithersburg, MD

Superior Facilities Management Services (SFMS LLC) in Gaithersburg, MD is seeking an experienced estimator to prepare accurate, and on-time Functional and Technical bid proposals for Commercial and Government Construction projects such as Interior Turnkey Construction, Asphalt Paving, Site Concrete, Utility Water Line, and Tenant Fit-Out projects. 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  • Identify and Qualify potential Request for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Review drawings, design documents, and other bid specifications.
  • Perform quantity take-offs using On-Screen software or other software.
  • Prepare Functional and Technical bid proposals.
  • Provide a take-off for projects awarded, provide material submittals and budget sheets.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with the GM to go over RFPs, bids, and upcoming projects.
SKILLS:
  • 5 Years’ Estimating experience in Construction Industry.
  • Strong organization, communication, and time management.
  • Microsoft Office Suite, with a high level of proficiency in Adobe, Excel, and Word.
  • On-Screen Take-offs and other platforms 
  • Must be computer proficiency
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred but not required).
Compensation Plan:
  • Starting Salary: $70K to $80K based on experience, Project Bonus Program, PTO, Vacations, Paid Holidays, and Health Insurance benefits.
