Sferra Fine Linens is Hiring an Accounts Receivable Specialist Near Edison, NJ

Position Overview

Perform day-to-day transactions related to Accounts Receivable, Petty Cash and related projects. Reports to the Director of Accounting.

Essential Job Functions

Accounts Receivable

· Utilize computerized accounting software programs to perform duties and responsibilities

· Generate customer accounting statements & reports

· Code & post daily cash receipts, refunds and reconciliation to customer statement of accounts

· Prepare daily bank deposit

· Prepare Month end bank reconciliation

· Maintain telephone, email & other personal contacts with the customers on credit matters

· Perform order entry for returns, customer credits & invoicing

· Reconciliation & research on all customer disputes and inquiries

· Assist with end of year external audit with preparation of reports and schedules

· Process UPS Claims

· Research deductions and missed invoices for retail and department stores

· Process returns

· Prepare commission reports

· Record payments in system

· Review customer credit lines and daily order hold approvals

· Reconcile customer accounts

· Collect credit card receipts from employees on a monthly basis

Other

· Manage and reconcile petty cash

· Other related special projects

Non-essential Job Functions

· Assist with customer service

· Assist with order entry

· Process employee purchases

Requirements

· 1-3 years of accounting experience

· Ability to work independently, multi task, prioritize & work efficiently

· Computer skills on MS Office (emphasis on MS Excel), accounting software and database

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
