Job Description:

The Role

As the VP, Quant Product Management you will be a part of Quantitative Research and Investment Technology (QRIT) in Asset Management Technology (AMT). You blend deep technology expertise with a dedication to delivering client value. You will define and evolve the Systematic Equity Portfolio Construction Technology vision, strategy and mission and ensure continued alignment and prioritization of work with other key initiatives. You will work with three different streams of work related to technology supporting and evolving Active Equity, Custom SMAs, and Active ETFs quant products. You will partner with QRI Portfolio Engineering and Investment Operations leaders to resolve strategic priorities based on an understanding of business partner needs and enable execution of these priorities by the cross-functional teams. You will support these teams as they improve value delivered through prioritization, creativity, innovation, collaboration, and decision making and encourage them to work iteratively, innovate through testing and experimentation and learn from failures while celebrating success. You are committed to developing your own knowledge and bring the latest thinking to your role to empower others with that knowledge.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Minimum of 10 years of proven professional experience in leading software technology teams with practical experience in product development
  • Financial services experience particularly with Wealth Management/Managed Accounts or Asset Management business is a must. You have deep proven experience in either equities, fixed income, or alternative asset classes
  • Experience with portfolio construction is preferred. 
  • You have senior level experience defining strategic roadmaps and leading the development of solutions and offerings aligned with and in support of the strategic direction of the business
  • You are able to report and track on progress at a senior level
  • You have very good program management skills
  • Experience engaging with senior internal and external clients and partners
  • You are a committed leader and an inspirational people leader, capable of setting strategic direction and encouraging others to deliver results and impact to achieve that strategy
  • You have a continuous improvement approach and encourage and enable an agile way of working
  • You have strong communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills with which you influence and engage across Fidelity and at all levels of the organization
  • You take a data-focused approach to decision making, in day-to-day leadership and strategic tradeoff analyses
  • You have or are committed to building a balance of technology and non-technology skills in order to fully appreciate the broad needs of our customers
