Job Description:

Position Description:

Manages a team of chapter members who primarily work within autonomous squads across tribes. Directs software developers using Java and Reporting/Database tools. Blends deep technology and business expertise to coach, mentor, and develop associates. Manages a team of chapter members working within autonomous squads across tribes to help grow and develop their knowledge area. Plans and allocates resources within and across organizations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provides timely reports, presents a consolidated view of DC clients, and supports DC sales compensation process.
  • Supports operations for financial activities across the firm for various software products and services in Workplace Investment (WI) for Money Movement, Trade Execution, and Settlement Reconciliation.
  • Provides technical direction to Chapter Members to resolve business problems.
  • Designs, develops and modifies complex and major software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.
  • Develops and directs software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.
  • Partners with Chapter Area, Product Area, Center of Excellence, and Squad Leaders to establish chapter standards, influence strategic decisions, and build solutions domain.
  • Influences strategic backlog and prioritization decisions related to area of expertise.
  • Measures performance through established objectives and metrics and delivers agreed upon business, technology, and people results.
  • Aligns chapter members across squads and product areas to ensure best utilization of talent and build learning opportunities and day content to develop skills.
  • Sets and applies standards for performance and established road maps.
  • Shares insights, industry practices, and developments across the organization.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and six (6) years of experience as a Director, Product Management (or closely related occupation) project managing IT development, testing, and implementation projects in a financial services or insurance environment.

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and four (4) years of experience as a Director, Product Management (or closely related occupation) project managing IT development, testing, and implementation projects in a financial services or insurance environment.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

  • Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) performing Non-Discriminatory Testing (NDT) of qualified 401(k) and 403(b) retirement plans for high net income individuals to ensure benefits compliance with Internal Revenue Service regulations, project coordination, planning, and test execution.
  • DE performing project and service management of development, test, implementation, and transition/transformation projects, using J2EE, mainframe technologies, ADM Estimator, C-dart, M-dart project management tools, and TriZetto Facets packaged tools across multi-geographical locations.
  • DE developing project, quality, and risk management plans, RACI Metrics, resource histogram, estimation, budgets, resource leveling, pyramid ratio maintenance, performance assessments, and appraisal processes, using HP PPM and MS-Project tools.
  • DE performing requirements gathering, analysis, and project management of enterprise reconciliations and solutions, using SunGard's IntelliMatch Operational Control suite and IntelliSuite (I-Suite).
