Job Title: Safety Manager

Location: Rincon, Georgia, Sewon America Inc.

Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Manager to join Sewon America Inc. at our Rincon, Georgia location. The Safety Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our operations adhere to the highest safety standards, protecting both our employees and our commitment to excellence in manufacturing. Responsible for multi-shift safety, health and environmental activities in a tier 1 automotive manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Safety Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all federal, state, and local safety regulations and standards. Stay abreast of industry-specific safety requirements and best practices.

2. Safety Policies and Procedures: Develop, implement, and continuously improve safety policies and procedures tailored to the unique needs of Sewon America Inc. in line with our vision and values.

3. Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential safety issues within the manufacturing facility. Collaborate with relevant departments to mitigate identified risks.

4. Training and Education: Develop and deliver regulatory safety training programs for employees at all levels. Promote a safety-conscious culture by fostering awareness and accountability. Coordinate and/or conduct additional training programs such as confined spaces and First Aid/CPR/AED certifications.

5. Incident Management: Oversee the investigation and reporting of workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses. Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence and maintain comprehensive incident records.

6. Emergency Response: Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures and first-aid protocols. Ensure all employees are adequately trained in emergency response. Manage employee health and stay abreast of health and epidemic issues.

7. Safety Audits: Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of the facility. Collaborate with teams to address identified deficiencies and monitor progress. Manage and maintain OSHA recordkeeping and 300 LOG

8. Safety Equipment and Gear: Evaluate, procure, and maintain safety equipment and personal protective gear. Ensure all employees have access to and properly use required safety gear.

9. Data Analysis: Utilize data analysis and metrics to track safety performance, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

10. Reporting: Prepare and present regular safety reports to management, highlighting key safety metrics, accomplishments, and areas requiring attention.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Industrial Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field

(Master's degree preferred).

· Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification.

· Minimum of 5 years of safety management experience in a manufacturing environment.

· Strong knowledge of federal and state safety regulations and standards.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.

· Ability to lead and inspire a safety-conscious culture.

· Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

· Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations including process safety, emergency response,

hazardous materials management, air permitting, water permitting, ergonomics, and worker’s compensation.

Physical Requirements:

· Office environment with noises from computer peripherals such as mainframe, disk drives and printers. Use of a

video display terminal (VDT) for periods in excess of 30 minutes at a time. Possible eyestrain from extended

periods of VDT viewing.

· Factory environment with noise from manufacturing environment. Exposure to moving equipment, parts and

electrical shock. Possible serious injury due to carelessness around equipment.

· Daily lifts, carries or moves objects – up to 35 pounds.
