Job Title: Registered Nurse - Cardiac

Location: Pikeville, KY

Rate: $3,150 Weekly

Shift: 48hrs - 4x12hrs - Days Nights Available!

Job Description:
A Cardiac RN in Pikeville, KY, provides specialized nursing care for patients with cardiovascular conditions, including those undergoing surgery, experiencing heart attacks, or managing chronic heart diseases.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments of cardiac patients, including monitoring vital signs, heart rhythms, and overall health status.
• Use advanced monitoring equipment to track cardiac function and detect irregularities.
• Administer medications as prescribed, including IV drugs, anticoagulants, and other cardiac-specific medications.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and efficacy of treatments.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Coordinate patient care with cardiologists, surgeons, and other specialists.
• Educate patients and their families on managing heart conditions, including lifestyle changes, medication adherence, and recognizing warning signs of complications.
• Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and families.
• Respond to cardiac emergencies, including cardiac arrest and acute coronary syndromes.
• Perform life-saving procedures such as CPR and defibrillation.

Requirements:

• Active RN license in Kentucky.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• At least one year of experience in cardiac care, critical care, or a related field.
• Proficient in ECG interpretation, use of cardiac monitoring equipment, and advanced cardiac life support techniques.
