Blended rate: $42 Per hour | $1,575 Weekly

Shift: 5x7.5s - 37.5 hours available | Days and Nights available.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) to join our healthcare team in Utica, NY. The LPN/LVN will work closely with physicians, registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional care to patients. This position requires a high level of clinical knowledge and expertise, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

• 1. Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician.
• 2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• 3. Monitor patient vital signs, assess patient condition, and report any changes to the supervising nurse or physician.
• 4. Assist with diagnostic tests, procedures, and examinations.
• 5. Document patient information accurately and keep electronic medical records up to date.
• 6. Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• 7. Educate patients and their families about healthcare conditions, treatments, and preventative measures.
• 8. Promote a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
• 9. Adhere to infection control and prevention protocols.
• 10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist with ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.
• 11. Stay updated on current trends, developments, and best practices in nursing.

Requirements:

• 1. Valid LPN/LVN license issued by the state of New York.
• 2. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working as an LPN/LVN.
• 3. Excellent clinical skills, including medication administration, wound care, and IV therapy.
• 4. Strong knowledge of nursing principles and practices, healthcare laws, and regulations.
• 5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple patient needs.
• 6. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• 7. Proficient computer skills, including experience with electronic medical records.
