Duties/Responsibilities

• Patient Assessment: ICU nurses are responsible for assessing patients' conditions on an ongoing basis. This involves monitoring vital signs, evaluating lab results, and assessing the overall status of the patient's health.
• Medication Administration: Administering medications, including intravenous drugs, pain management medications, and other critical care medications, according to physician orders and patient needs. ICU nurses must also monitor the effects of medications and adjust doses as necessary.
• Ventilator Management: Many patients in the ICU require mechanical ventilation to support their breathing. ICU nurses are responsible for managing ventilators, including adjusting settings, monitoring patient responses, and addressing any complications or alarms.
• Life Support: In addition to ventilator management, ICU nurses may be responsible for managing other life support equipment, such as cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, and intra-aortic balloon pumps.

Required

• 1 - 2 years of critical care experience
• BLS certification
• Availability every other weekend to work
• GA or Compact State Nursing License

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $1,600.00 - $1,700.00 per week
