Description

Sevananda is hiring for a new Produce Manager. The Produce Manager supervises and manages the Produce Department to meet sales, margin and labor goals as set by the General Manager. The Produce Manager also selects, purchases, prices and displays fresh produce to achieve these goals as well as provide excellent customer service as set by the management team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of organic and commercial growing practices, and organic certification regulations.
• Firm grasp of margin pricing.
• Purchasing and merchandising.
• Knowledge of current trends in the produce industry.
• Supervisory experience--hiring, training, evaluating, directing.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to sit, stand, for 8 hours/day, on average.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Regular, predictable attendance.
