Overview/ Job Responsibilities

Sev1Tech is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our mission in providing best-in-class security, infrastructure, and technology infrastructure services support in the Westminster area. This is a hybrid role requiring both on-site and remote work capability.

The Senior Network Engineer will assist with our Infrastructure Services Support team in providing daily operations and project delivery support of physical, virtual, and wireless networks in a Cross-Domain IT infrastructure. Consulting on additional projects during surge periods as necessary, the Senior Network Engineer is a key player on our team and is responsible for the following:

• Working closely with end-users and third-party vendors to identify potential issues and fix existing physical, virtual, and wireless network problems at the Tier 3 level
• Deploying, maintaining, and administering Juniper (80%) and Cisco (20%) computer networks
• Designing, deploying, supporting, and troubleshooting enterprise wireless (Aruba) and related technologies
• Developing documentation for existing networks and maintaining documentation for all new networks and changes
• Actively tracking, documenting, and updating request and incident information in appropriate IT Service Management tool
• Evolving and maintaining load balancing (F5), Firewall and Security products under the network umbrella
• Installing and configuring computer network equipment
• Maintaining network equipment and associated hardware, applications, services, and settings
• Administering routers, switches, and firewalls
• Troubleshooting fiber and wireless connections
• Analyzing and remediating IP addressing
• Some project engineering work required

Salary: 130-150k DOE

Minimum Qualifications

• 8 years of experience in a hybrid network environment
• Strong Juniper networking skillset, proficient with Cisco
• Strong enterprise wireless experience and enterprise operations experience
• Experience with Aruba wireless networking
• Strong knowledge of Juniper and Cisco Switches, Routers and Firewalls (Palo Alto preferred)
• Previous experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2010, 2012 and 2016
• Experience with F5 Networks Big-IP implementation of LTM, APM, DNS (GTM), and ASM
• Familiarity with enterprise SIEM solutions such as LogRhythm, Splunk, or ELK Stack
• Advanced knowledge of networking concepts
• Proven network engineering, network operations, and network performance analysis skills
• Expert level communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
• Hands-on troubleshooting capabilities
• Ability to work with little supervision to execute highly technical and complex tasks

Clearance Requirement: An active Secret Security Clearance is required for this role.

Additional Information: On-call rotation as required

Desired Qualifications

• Juniper Certifications such as: JNCIP-Cloud, JNCIP-DC, JNCIP-ENT, and/or JNCIP-SEC
• Previous experience in a COMSEC environment preferred
