CCI General Contractors LLC (CCI) is growing! We are seeking a talented Federal Construction Superintendent to join our dynamic CCI team, a subsidiary of Bristol Bay Construction Holdings LLC (BBCH). Potential candidates must be experienced, technically proficient, Federal Market Construction professionals with a belief in teamwork for projects. This person would be part of a 3 to 4-person project execution team managing the execution of the work being performed by their subcontractors. The position requires knowledge of every stage of the construction process and the ability to supervise multiple subcontractors. Ten (10 ) years of construction experience desired with 5 years on projects $5M or greater. Candidates possessing US Navy, Air Force, and/or US Army Corp construction experience desired.The initial project is located in Panama City, FL. The superintendent would be working with an onsite team consisting of a project manager, a QCM, and an SSHO. The ability to work as a team is paramount. ResponsibilitiesThe primary responsibility of this position is to coordinate, plan, and supervise subcontractors and/or craft activities ensuring adherence to plans and specifications; enforcing site safety, and providing contractor quality control. Candidates must have strong organizational and communication skills. Other tasks or duties include:Provide daily on-site supervision of subcontractorsMonitor contractor production, schedule, and performanceManage subcontractor Daily Production ReportsAssist with coordination aspects as directed by the CCI Project ManagersComply with all guidelines, policies, and procedures established by CCI while on shift, on-call, or attending training. Initiate problem-solving and perform repairs on any required work-related equipment, in a timely manner and within the boundaries of previous trainingConduct safety audits. Assist with contractor quality control and safety at construction locationsAssist and fill in for CCI Project Managers when they are not availableAssist subcontractors with Federal (Navy or USACE or AF) procedures and rulesManage subcontractor base access issuesEnsure contractors complete work on schedule while fulfilling warranty issuesAssist Project Managers on walk-throughs with contractors and the Govt for bidding purposesWork directly with the Public Works DepartmentCommunicate daily status of current projects to the Project Manager to ensure all projects are timely and within CCI standardsMaintain 100% “Compliance Readiness” in all areas or mandatory/regulatory requirementsMaintain 100% “Safety Standards and Accountability” in all areas or mandatory/regulatory requirements, which include: Taking necessary action when behaviors or conditions around you may be unsafe. Reporting and addressing all potential safety concerns/incidents/issues promptly. Facilitating or participating in CCI safety meetings, working safely, and maintaining a safe work environment as an employee and representative of CCI. Willingly participate and assist in any investigation that may relate to a safety incident. Document and record any injury or near-miss incident that may occur while you are working. Maintain and demonstrate proficient working knowledge of all work-related equipment, policies, procedures, and tactics at all times. Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining the physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking, or standing for prolonged periods of time; frequent opportunity to move about and to work outside the office environment for extended periods involving exposure to the elements with weather that will include extreme heat, cold, wind, rain or other inclement weather, walking over rough and uneven surfaces, and routine lifting of up to 35 pounds. If required, must properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times including but not limited to; hard hats, steel-toed boots, eye protection, respiratory protection, and hearing protection. Must maintain a constant state of mental alertness at all times. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Working ConditionsJob is performed in a combination of office and outdoor site locations. The office setting includes exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Outdoor settings include walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially wildlife.
