Position Summary:

Under general supervision, the Supervisor is responsible for providing direct supervision to team members to meet Safety (People), Quality, Delivery and Cost metrics. The Production Supervisors work will include managing staff efficiently and effectively to ensure all job requirements and company expectations are met. Maintain the resources necessary to perform jobs efficiently and meet production goals. They will continuously monitor and maintain work flow through production processes and engage with the team on how processes can be improved. The Production Supervisor will maintain departmental equipment by ensuring it is used properly, stays in good condition and if required is repaired by the proper resources, minimizing downtime. They will also support 5S and Lean Manufacturing in every day work practices.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business-related discipline or a combination of education (High School diploma, Associates Degree) and 5 years of experience in leading people and teams.

· 3-5 Years in a manufacturing environment, proven experience in Lean Manufacturing concepts

· Understands what it means to lead, know how to take leadership actions, create and share a coordinated vision, and align the organization on what needs to be done.

· Leadership and a clear preference for working in a team environment and establishing an expectation that team comes before self.

· Execute plans by prioritizing daily activities and working on the critical few instead of the trivial many.

· Strong communication & interpersonal skills, bias for action, decision making & problem-solving skills.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

· Adheres to and ensure that all personnel working under your supervision adhere and fully comply with the Company Values and Company’s Code of Conduct and ethics.

· Ensures the Safety of all team members, reporting all accidents, injuries and near misses timely. Engages the team to identify opportunities for Safety improvements. Assures proper PPE is utilized per requirements and proactively audits for at risk behaviors or conditions. Clearly communicates Safety expectations and policies.

· Clearly communicates company policies and ensures adherence to them.

· Utilizes and abides by Quality requirements and complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions. Clearly communicates these requirements and ensures team members adhere to documented job instructions and quality specifications.

· Audits team members to ensure components are correctly and completely assembled and tested in accordance with engineering BOM, drawing requirements and quality plans. Establishes and prioritizes observed gaps in documentation to support teams and tracks completion.

· Adjust resources as necessary to meet production schedules and optimize work flow through area of ownership. Ensures sufficient resources are available to complete tasks in the time frame required; creating, maintaining and executing cross matrixes and training plans.

· Provides constant feedback and input into process improvement.

· May Train staff on assigned assembly processes, inspections and production.

· Identifies opportunities for improvement and prioritized problem solving to meet production schedules and optimize work flow.

· Responsible for direct report management, people development and associate relations including but not limited to assigning and directing work, appraising performance, hiring, training and retention, disciplining, addressing complaints, attendance policy management and resolving problems.

· Manage the organization and maintenance of shift work environment.

· Facilitates scheduled meetings and actively participates by providing meaningful guidance to the assembly staff.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

Hearing: Adequate to perform job duties in person, over the telephone, and on the production floor.

Speaking: Must be able to communicate clearly in person, over the telephone, and on the production floor.

Vision: Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including visual examination of manufactured parts and reading information from printed sources and computer screens.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $29.22 - $37.00 per hour
