ServiceMaster by RSI has an immediate opening for a Construction Technician able to work on construction jobs independently. Must be able to hang and finish drywall, install trim and paint in a professional manner. This position is to perform drywall, trim, and paint on small projects that need repair from fire and water losses. Many jobs are completed by sub-contract labor and need final punch work to finalize the project. Much of the punch list is to hang blinds, install wire shelving, touch up drywall trim and paint, clean project and make the structure ready to move in. On occasion, you will help assist mitigation technicians on demo and dismantling water and fire damaged structures. On call status will be required as needed.

• Perform all drywall painting and carpenter duties for residential and commercial projects.
• 1-2 years’ experience as a carpenter, painter, or contractor.
• Will provide on the job training to those with strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Experience working for a professional contracting or painting company is a plus.
• The ability to be flexible, work at a fast-paced and in a multi-tasked job is a must.
• Contribute to a positive work climate with a pleasant attitude and contribute to the overall team effort including being in uniform, dependable and on time.
• Has respect and understanding for co-workers and customers
• Must be able to communicate in English
• Possession of tools is a plus
• Pass a drug screening and background check
• Applicant must be available to work normal business hours
• Must be self-motivated to take on multiple jobs at a time
• Computer skills are recommended, and we will train our program platforms for proficiency
• Must be customer oriented and have good communication skills
• Perform punch-list and construction duties as necessary.
• Complete and maintain accurate records

Skills/Qualifications:

• Excellent communication skills and customer service skills
• Willingness to work independently without supervision
• The ability to perform construction punch list duties such as drywall, painting and trim in a professional manner is required

Pay and Benefits:

• Pay range depends on skill level
• The ideal candidate will possess enough skills for the pay to range between $18-$22/hr

Physical Demands and Qualifications:

• Constant (up to 100%) standing, walking, pushing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching over head, reaching forward. Must be able to lift and and/or carry 50lbs-75lbs.
• Ability to read cleaning instructions
• Ability to differentiate between cleaning products and uses
