Service First Staffing is Hiring an Industrial Painter (Custom Fabrication) Near Baldwin, WI

POSITION – Industrial Painter (Custom Fabrication)

JOB LOCATION – Baldwin, WI

STARTING DATE – Depends on hiring date.

EMPLOYMENT TERM – Temp to hire or direct hire.

EMPLOYMENT TYPE – Full Time

WORK HOURS (SHIFT) – Monday- Thursday 5:00am – 3:30pm, overtime available.

STARTING PAY – $19.00-$45.00/hr. depending on experience

REQUIRED EDUCATION – High School Diploma or equivalent.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE- 2 years of industrial wet paint and mixing experience.

JOB SUMMARY:

As an Industrial Painter you will work with diverse products and unique projects that provide challenge and versatility to each day. You will get to work on custom fabrication and tooling, air and bulk handling, commercial marine, industrial vehicles, water treatment and more. You can also expect to be part of a team that will work on a variety of large-scale steel projects, applying coatings to fabricated materials while adhering to code requirements and guidelines.

Responsibilities:

· Assist with setup and operation of equipment necessary to paint fabricated material as required by job specifications.

· Use proper safety equipment, paint equipment, paint, and thinners, and ensure that surfaces are adequately prepared for painting all operations.

· Coordinates with shop supervisor and other personnel for the purpose of completing projects/work orders efficiently, on time, and with no defects.

· Performs other related duties, as assigned, to maintain a steady flow of products through the shop and to ensure an efficient and effective work environment.

Qualifications:

· 5 years working knowledge of industrial wet paint, paint techniques, equipment, and metal finishing experience preferred.

· Hard working, detail oriented, high productivity

· Maintain the highest level of quality while working safely.

· Read and interpret route sheets and blueprints.

· Communicate effectively with Finishing Team, and co-workers.

· Adhere to delivery schedule.

· Maintain and clean and safe work environment.

· Must be able to handle large structures with overhead hoists and forklifts.

· Must be able to read and understand paint and coating specifications, able to prepare surfaces to be painted and capable of mixing paints.

Physical Requirements:

· Lift and carry up to 100 pounds occasionally.

· Occasionally climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl, frequently need to stoop, push, or pull, and constantly reach for and handle a variety of items.
