JOB SUMMARY:

Maintain the security of the transportation site by patrolling all parts of the property, vehicles, tenants and visitors.

Schedules & Shifts:

Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday: ( 12:00am - 8:00am )

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Maintain high visibility, answer routine questions for directions and handle minor problems.
• Observe and immediately report situations to the appropriate personnel, and/or emergency services via telephone, radio or any means possible.
• Present themselves during arrivals and departures.
• During arrivals be at least 10 feet away from buses.
• Enforce smoking prohibitions and no drugs on site.
• Maintain awareness of people crossing train tracks on east side.
• Conduct tours sporadically throughout the shift and provide hourly report.
• Immediately contact local law enforcement or emergency personnel by calling 911 if appropriate.
• Cooperate with, local police, and client agency personnel in the event of any major conflict or disturbance.
• File incident reports when appropriate.
• Report any maintenance issues and capture any available pictures of damage or non working property.
• Report any suspicious activity.
• Escort employees to and from vehicles at night.
• Use proper judgment when enforcing loitering.
• Other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or authorized to legally work in the United States
• Must have at least one year of security guard experience
• Must have security guard card
• Shows mature judgment, reliability, dependability, tactfulness and self-control
• Ability to retain composure and perform under pressure and to know when to call for assistance
• Ability to meet and deal effectively with the general public
• Ability to give instructions clearly and concisely, firmly but diplomatically
• Ability to construct and write clear, concise, accurate and detailed reports
• Ability to see and respond to dangerous situations
• Ability to wear and use all protective equipment
