Servexo USA is Hiring an Unarmed Security Officer Near Washington, DC

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and professional Unarmed Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of personnel, facilities, and assets located within the site area. The incumbent will be responsible for proactively deterring criminal activity, responding to threats, and providing support to response forces in the event of emergencies, including active threats. The Unarmed Security Officer will uphold the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and vigilance in executing their duties.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Secondary Screening for entry and exit control at stationary posts – CSOs shall enforce the Department’s entry, exit, and identification policies. This includes the operation of security screening equipment designed to detect dangerous weapons and other prohibited items. Dangerous weapons and prohibited items shall be confiscated and immediately turned over to the USCP.
  • Garage Parking and Pedestrian Control – When assigned, the CSO shall direct traffic, monitor vehicles and pedestrians in designated locations.
  • CSOs shall remain vigilant and continuously monitor persons for suspicious activities, and immediately report any suspicious persons to a sworn officer or their supervisor.
  • Incident Reports and Records — The CSO shall prepare reports and records of reportable incidents as directed by the USCP. These reports shall include: contract performance issues, labor hours worked (both regular and overtime hours), equipment status, accidents, illness, unusual incidents or unlawful acts that occurred within the CSO’s area of responsibility. Reports should be completed in a clear, legible format. All reports and records prepared under this contract are law enforcement sensitive in nature and considered Government property. The Contractor shall ensure that all reports are prepared in a complete and accurate manner and submitted to through the USCP.
  • Lost and Found — The CSO must turn over any unclaimed articles found in a Capitol Complex facility, or other USCP- designated facility, to the USCP before or at the end of the CSO’s tour of duty.
  • Telephone Usage - CSO shall utilize Government furnished telephones only for the purposes of conducting the services required under this contract.
  • All CSOs shall receive, sign and be subject to a Non-Disclosure Agreement, furnished by the USCP at the time of hire.
  • The USCP reserves the right to direct and/or modify all CSO responsibilities, as needed, to meet USCP mission requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be a high-school diploma or its equivalent
  • With 1 and above years of experience as Security Officer
  • Possess United States citizenship (either by birth or naturalization).
  • Possess a valid high school diploma or General Educational Development (GED), or equivalency.
  • Pass a medical and physical standards examination.
  • Be able to read, write and speak the English language fluently.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a valid, unrestricted (except eyewear) state driver’s license.
  • Satisfy one of the following: 1) Two years of service in the United States Armed Services (including Reserve or National Guard); 2) Any combination of two years of experience in physical security (as a security officer—armed or unarmed) and service with the United States Armed Services (including Reserves or National Guard; 3) Associate’s Degree in a security or law enforcement field; or 4) Successful completion of a police officer’s basic training academy.
  • Pass a USCP background security investigation.
  • Successfully complete all on-boarding training to include the USCP Familiarization 40 hour curriculum (to be administered by the contract agency) and the Field Training Phase
  • Physically capable of their assigned work and will be free from any communicable diseases and mental disabilities.
  • All CSOs and LSCSOs must obtain and maintain an unarmed security officer license through the Department of Consumer & Regulatory Affairs in Washington D.C...
  • If not previously certified with this license, each CSO must complete the following within 90 days of beginning employment with the USCP CSO contract:.
  • Unarmed security guard licenses in Washington D.C are valid for 2 years.
  • One security guard must be randomly selected for a monthly drug test from this contract only. Results will then be forwarded to the Deputy CEO/Chief Safety Officer and or his designee.
