The Salesforce Implementation Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the deployment of organizational projects within Salesforce from initiation through completion. This role serves as the primary point of contact between clients and internal teams, ensuring that all project deliverables align with client requirements and company standards. The Implementation Project Manager also facilitates communication across functional teams, resolves project issues, and ensures timely and within-budget delivery of projects. Reports to the Chief of Staff.

  • Develops detailed project plans, defining scope, objectives, and deliverables
  • Designs project schedules and timelines to ensure efficient completion of project milestones
  • Oversees all phases of the project from initiation to closure
  • Determines project resource requirements and allocate tasks according to team members’ strengths and capabilities
  • Manages the availability and allocation of resources, ensuring optimal productivity
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders
  • Communicates project goals, updates, and potential changes effectively to all involved parties, including clients and internal teams
  • Oversees and manages project budgets, ensuring all expenditures stay within the allocated funds
  • Provides regular financial updates to senior management
  • Identifies potential risks associated with the project schedule, cost, or performance
  • Develops mitigation strategies to address identified risks promptly
  • Ensures project deliverables meet the required quality standards and client expectations
  • Implements quality control processes throughout the project lifecycle
  • Anticipates, addresses and resolves issues that affect project scope, quality and timelimes
  • Facilitates problem-solving sessions as required to tackle project hurdles effectively
  • Prepares comprehensive project documentation, including status reports, final reports, and other necessary documentation as needed
  • Conducts regular project reviews and report on progress to senior management and clients
  • Ensures compliance with both internal project management standards and external regulatory requirements
  • Adapts processes to meet evolving industry standards and best practices
  • Conducts post-implementation reviews to assess the outcomes of the project
  • Conducts post-project evaluations to gather insights and improve future project performance and processes
  • Gathers feedback to improve future project implementations and develop best practices

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Profound knowledge of project management principles, methodologies (such as Agile and Waterfall), and practices.
  • Understanding of the technology landscape, including software development lifecycles and system integration
  • Awareness of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements
  • Familiarity with financial management, including budgeting and financial forecasting
  • Strong leadership skills to guide and motivate project teams
  • Excellent communication skills for effective dialogue with stakeholders at all levels
  • Proficient in project management software tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Planner, JIRA)
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to efficiently address project challenges
  • Time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines
  • Ability to manage large and complex projects from conception to completion
  • Capability to adapt to changing project scopes and dynamics
  • Competence in negotiating and conflict resolution
  • Aptitude for decision-making and prioritization to meet project deadlines
  • Capacity to work effectively in both independent and team environments

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent experience in lieu of a degree is acceptable
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is highly preferred
  • Minimum of five years of project management experience, specifically in implementing complex technology projects such as Salesforce
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects from conception through completion
  • Experience in stakeholder management and team leadership
  • Proficiency in project management software (such as MS Planner, JIRA, or Trello)
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall)
  • Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and IT infrastructure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to clearly articulate complex concepts and solutions to diverse audiences
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills to navigate complex projects and system challenges
  • Effective communication and people skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams and communicating technical information to non-technical stakeholders
  • Meticulous with a commitment to accuracy and precision in all work tasks

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior military experience, military family member and/or prior government civilian service within Project Management and/or RDT&E functions STRONGLY preferred
