Serrato is Hiring a Center Director-Job Corps Center Near Little Rock, AR

  • Ensures the safety and security of student, staff, and property through the establishment of a center safety committee, plans programs to promote awareness and reductions of accidents, injury, illness, and loss prevention.
  • Develops and implements strategies to achieve and maintain contracted design capacity (On-Board Strength) through collaboration with OA contractors in national enrollee assignment plan (NEAP) approved by DOL.
  • Establishes and implements systems to ensure performance is accurately tracked and reported and that necessary corrective action is taken to achieve the performance outcome goals and quality standards established by the National Director of Job Corps.
  • Establishes and maintains a relationship with community leaders and social, religious, civic, and service organizations through the establishment of a community relations council.
  • Develops and maintains linkages with local and distant employers to assist in evaluating career technical offerings, compiling labor market information, and promoting work-based learning and job placement of program participants through the establishment of a Center Industry Council (Workforce Councils).
  • Delegates responsibilities for effective operations through directors, managers, and supervisors in all areas.
  • Ensures all training and testing programs are continually evaluated to ensure rigor and relevance of content areas is aligned with the PRH and meet individual needs of students.
  • Ensures all students are formally evaluated at least every 60 days on their knowledge of and ability to demonstrate all eight Career Success Standards, during which time students’ short-and long-term goals will be updated.
  • Establishes and implements procedures to ensure all eligible students receive personalized career transition services that lead to long-term employment, earnings growth, career progression, and/or further education through coordination with post-Center providers or employers, as applicable.
  • Ensures coordination of pre-separation contact between students and CTS, provides pre-separation needs assessment and direct placement, identifies transitional support needs to ensure graduates remain successfully attached to the workforce.
  • Establishes procedures and conducts periodic self-evaluation and audits to ensure integrity, accountability, and prevention of fraud and program abuse.
  • Holds weekly management meetings with key personnel to communicate expectations, progress, and needs.
  • Works towards meeting performance management goals.
  • Develops and maintains channels of communication with students and staff to provide free flow of center wide information.
  • Adheres to required property control policies and procedures.
  • Maintains good housekeeping in all areas and complies with safety practices.
  • Complies with all DOL guidelines, OFCCP regulations, Job Corps notices and bulletins, and Center policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrates and abides by Serrato Corporation’s core values and operating principles.
  • Models, mentors, and monitors appropriate career success skills.
  • Helps students become more employable through continuous reinforcement.
  • Develops and implements a CDSS plan and other required plans and procedures as required by the PRH.
  • Evaluates personnel under his/her management and makes recommendations regarding disciplinary actions, promotions, and/or merit increases.
  • Travel may be required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Corporate.

Education

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university and/or equivalent combination of education and experience, which must be reviewed and approved by the DOL Regional Office.

Experience

Previous Job Corps experience requried, other managerial experience considered; five years' experience working with youth ages 16 to 24.
