Serco North America is Hiring a Remote Training Analyst

Position Description

Serco is seeking a Training Analyst to support NAVSEA in the acquisition and lifecycle support for the Surface Training Advanced Virtual Environment (STAVE) and Ready Relevant Learning (RRL for high-tech trainers and training devices for the Navy. This position requires work in the office and visit the customer in the Washington Navy Yard on a regular basis. Therefore, flexibility to a hybrid work schedule is required.

You will be part of a large team that works closely with the customer and other Serco teams to deliver quality training systems. This team is recognized by the Navy and the industry for their outstanding contributions to the contract and program. In this role, you will:

  • Develop and evaluate plans for training systems supporting STAVE and RRL modernization and new construction efforts.
  • Coordinate, facilitate, and assist in the execution of Requirements Analysis Working Groups (RAWGs) for STAVE and RRL projects.
  • Review technical documentation in support of developing and reviewing both STAVE and RRL Courses of Instruction (COI)
  • Assess and recommend the feasibility of proposed approaches to solve problems.
  • Assist in the planning, programming, budgeting & execution (PPBE) of STAVE and RRL programmed efforts IAW OPNAV instructions and guidance and PMS 339 business rules
  • Evaluate and assess executability of Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), Career Domain Analysis (CDAs), Career Long Learning Continuums (CLLCs), and Rating Domain Analysis (RDAs). Review and provide feedback concerning the RRL Future Year Defense Program (FYDP) Work Plan. Determine the impact of training requirements with risk to cost, schedule, and/or performance, and communicate these impacts, along with recommended solutions, to the leadership of PMS 339 to allow timely adjustments of unfunded requirements, avoiding impact on the fleet.
  • Make recommendations for Warfare requirements and advise the Mission Area Chair on defending the requirements to the Surface Warfare Training Committee (SWTC) and the resource sponsor.
  • Specialize in the planning, acquisition, and sustainment of STAVE and RRL initiatives for Navy rating and training systems.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • An Active DoD Issued Secret Clearance.
  • A Bachelor`s degree and 5-7 years.
    • An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Possesses knowledge of Navy Ratings and Manpower associated with applicable systems associated with Ready Relevant Learning, and associated training systems.
  • Experience in Acquisition Program Management and/or Navy Project Management.
  • Navy Operational / Navy Training experience and/or Navy DOD Experience.
  • Expert Expertise in Microsoft applications, especially PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Flexibility with up to 25% travel.

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • Aegis Combat Systems experience.
  • Surface Warfare Officers and Surface Warfare Qualified Enlisted experience.
  • Master Training Specialist (MTS) or Former Navy Instructor experience.
  • Training or Facilitation of Ready Relevant Learning Courses of Instruction.
