The Director of IT will be responsible for all network and server infrastructure, system operations, desktop support, and telecommunication systems. This position will lead a team of IT professionals, manage IT projects, and ensure the reliability and security of our IT systems.

Essential Duties

• Directs information technology budgeting, strategic and tactical planning, business process re-engineering, and system strategy.
• Oversees planning and implementation of all business information systems such as sales, customer operations, and internal communications.
• Provides daily supervision and guidance to IT staff members.
• Directs the information strategy of the company based on forecasting information from senior management.
• Sets the overall direction of internal business systems.
• Identifies user needs and directs the building of IT teams to work across all levels of the organization.
• Serves as primary corporate spokesperson for information technology.
• Explores new technologies for future planning and potential implementation.
• Interfaces with industry on information management and information technology matters.
• Performs analysis of network needs and guides design of network architecture, integration and installation.
• Designs, specifies, configures, installs, and maintains local area network hardware, software, and telecommunications services such as personal computers, system software, software applications, printers, servers, routers, bridges, switches, modems, cabling, and internet service providers.
• Develops and implements policies and procedures related to network hardware and software acquisition, use, support, security and backup.
• Communicates with other departments to report and resolve software, hardware, and operations problems.
• Consults with department managers to develop system solutions consistent with organizational objectives.
• Coordinates activities of hardware, software, telecommunications, support, and training vendors.
• Develops and implements disaster recovery procedures.
• Other job duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor’s degree program or equivalent degree in Computer Science or Business Information Systems and/or four years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Managed and directed an IT Team for at least 5 years.
• Proven experience in IT management, with a track record of successfully leading IT teams and projects.
• Strong technical expertise in IT infrastructure, systems administration, cybersecurity, and cloud technologies
• Diverse technical background, including experience with the Microsoft suite of tools and detailed understanding of network based equipment including telecommunication equipment
• Project management skills and the ability to interface with all levels of management, employees and clients.
• Effective communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Must exhibit creativity and innovation in system solutions; must be broadly focused and able to manage multiple efforts concurrently.
• The employee must possess strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of hardware/software technologies used within application area, including mainframe and PC platforms, programming languages, database technologies, network and telecommunications protocols.
• Candidates must successfully pass drug screen and background. This position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a federal clearance.
• Some travel may be required.
