The Systems Solution Engineer reports to the Vice President Engineering. The Systems Solution Engineer provides expertise to design, describe, maintain, and integrate information and computing systems software and hardware. The position participates in the system administration, analysis, configuration, and reliability of systems.

IT and Network Management

• Identify, design, develop, and implement solution systems and tools
• Design, build, and maintain supported customer infrastructure
• Develop and implement IT strategies
• Troubleshooting issues with systems and networks
• Installing new hardware and software
• Planning and performing system upgrades
• Development and implementation of system security standards
• Manage Engineering Support Services
• Gather requirements and perform requirements analysis for projects.
• Working with senior team members to be able to carry out design, specification, and configuration.
• Participates in Bid and Proposal Efforts, Costs, Specifications, Technical proposals.
• Writes IT technical documentation for installation, maintenance, and configuration management.
• Provides drawings and technical summaries for system additions, and existing system optimization.
• Participates in design reviews, construction coordination and onsite inspections to ensure compliance to standards and overall functionality.
• Develop automation tasks and procedures to streamline day-to-day operations tasks.
• Provides optimization options.
• Lead and/or participate in tasks as part of major deployments and upgrades.
• Evaluate new technologies and conduct testing.
• Ensure network security and compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Maintain accurate system documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
• Generate reports on performance, security, and other relevant metrics.
• Develop and execute test plans to check system performance.
• Manages assigned personnel.
• Other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

• Seven (7) years of experience with IT Architecture framework, security, infrastructure, and cloud development.
• Three (3) years of experience with network administration or information technology systems
• Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, system engineering, or information technology systems with >5 years of directly related project and field experience is required.
• Industry certifications Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or similar
• Must possess experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM)
• Must possess experience with Windows Server OS and Windows Desktop OS configuration, deployment, and management.
• High level knowledge of networking and server-based hardware including blade and chassis hardware.
• Certified Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification with Information Systems Security desired. Architecture Professional (ISSAP) preferred.
• Experience with VMware preferred.
• Strong understanding of Wireless 802.11ax standards and deployment best practices.
• Experience with IP camera and Video Management System network transmission preferred.
• Visio and/or AutoCAD experience preferred.

SPECIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Able to work at moderately high heights using scissor lifts, and ladders.
• Able to work in outdoor environment exposed to varying high or low temperatures.
• Must have sufficient physical agility to walk, climb, stand, crawl, and stretch on a continual basis.
• Must be able to perform work utilizing small hand tools and power tools as required.
• Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
• Able to sit at computer for 6-8 hours a day.
• Able to manipulate small objects and grip without shaking.
• Able to use computer, keyboard, mouse, and printers.
• Must be able to travel in airplanes to and from destinations on a regular basis.Must be able to identify colors for cable identification and installation purposes.
