Description

BASIC PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Lead daily field activities in managing assets effectively and efficiently to consistently maintain optimum production. Assist field operators in troubleshooting and problem solving abnormal conditions. Communicate equipment problems, well problems and production variances to supervisor; may relieve operations supervisor from time-to-time.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for operations including routine maintenance of the equipment and maintenance of the location to company standards, complying to environmental and safety regulations.
• Support field operations by evaluating and implementing solutions to well problems and facility malfunctions; work on tanks, heater treaters, LACT’s, steam generators, co-gens, compressors and pumps, pumping units, flowlines and other plumbing installations.
• Oversee contractors working in area of responsibility as they perform their assigned work; will interact as SOL when multiple contractors are present.

Requirements

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• 5 or more year’s operational experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Must have strong leadership qualities
• Must possess good mechanical skills and ability.
• Must possess good verbal and written communication skills
• Must be a goal-oriented Team Player.
• Necessary experience to proficiently perform job functions and operate and maintain surface equipment.
• Ability to read, comprehend and follow pertinent verbal instructions.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations in order to perform job duties.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow through with assigned tasks with limited supervision.
• Skilled in use of personal computer equipment
• Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays on a scheduled basis.
• Knowledgeable of good oilfield safety practices.
