Sentinel Builders is seeking professional Construction Project Manager with a minimum of seven years' experience working as a lead project manager for commercial projects based in the NYC Metro area. Salary range $145K to $165K

Responsibilities

• Maintain Sentinel Builders quality standards for all aspects of the project
• Oversee and manage construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget
• Develop and maintain project schedules, including coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers
• Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress and quality of workmanship
• Provide leadership and guidance to project team members, including subcontractors
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project specifications are met
• Coordinate and communicate with clients to provide updates on project status and address any concerns or issues that arise
• Manage project budgets, including tracking expenses and approving invoices
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and other legal requirement
• Capable of working on multiple projects simultaneously

Qualifications

• A four-year degree from an accredited university with a concentration in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred
• 8-10 years’ experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor
• Proven experience as a construction project manager with strong knowledge of project management principles and practices
• Ability to master sector/project-specific software systems including but not limited to: Microsoft Office suite (ex. Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.), ProCore, Adobe
• Understanding of AIA format billing
• Must be able to read drawings, have understanding of plans, sections and details and how they work together to illustrate the project scope
• Must demonstrate a strong ability to:
• Communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally, with a strong focus on audience appropriate business writing and verbal skills
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and passion for construction and our industry
• Gather data, interpret it into meaningful information, and relay that information through clear, concise communication strategies; ability to see how pieces and processes fit into and affect the bigger picture/business model
